Terms of use

Last updated 18 September 2026

Using Kitokoto means you agree to these terms. What we do with your data is on the privacy page.

What Kitokoto is

Kitokoto is free for date polls, events, sign-up sheets and Secret Santa draws. We might change it, add paid features, or shut it down one day. If we shut it down, we'll tell you first wherever we can.

Who can see your event

Anyone with your event's link can see it and answer. Anyone with your organiser link can change it, close it and read every note. Send the event link to the people you're inviting, and keep the organiser link to yourself.

We can't tell who's using a link, so whoever has it can do what it allows.

What you can't do

You're responsible for what you put in. Only add someone's name or email if you're actually inviting them. Don't use Kitokoto to:

If you do, we can delete your events and block you, without warning.

Who owns your events

You do, along with everything you write in them. You let us store them and show them to anyone with the link, because we need that to run them.

When events are deleted

Events are deleted 90 days after their last date. If you want one gone sooner, email us. Save a copy of anything you'll need later.

No guarantees

Kitokoto comes as it is. We work hard to keep it running and correct, but we can't promise it'll always be up, free of bugs, or that every email arrives. Don't rely on it where a missed message could do serious harm.

If something goes wrong

As far as the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses, lost data, or anything that comes out of an event you plan with Kitokoto. Nothing here limits liability the law doesn't let us limit.

Changes to these terms

We might update these terms. When we do, the date at the top changes, and if you keep using Kitokoto, the new terms apply.
